Thirteen Prince George's buildings have been named among 2025 America's Healthiest Schools.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Thirteen Prince George's County Public Schools have been recognized as a 2025 America’s Healthiest School by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, an initiative founded by the American Heart Association and the Clinton Foundation.
This year, 1,160 schools nationwide earned the designation for their "commitment to fostering healthy environments that support the well-being of students, staff and their communities."
“We are proud to receive this national recognition, which underscores our commitment to creating healthier, more supportive learning environments,” said Elizabeth Faison, PGCPS associate superintendent of student services. “Through improved nutrition, expanded physical and health education, and strong wellness policies, we are building schools where every student can thrive.”

All-Star schools meet criteria across all nine categories of the America’s Healthiest Schools framework, including nutrition and food access, physical education and activity, school health services, staff well-being and family and community engagement.
