18-Year-Old Charged In D.C. Man's Fatal Shooting In Hyattsville

An 18-year-old Hyattsville man has been charged in connection to a 26-year-old Washington, D.C., man's fatal shooting.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An 18-year-old Hyattsville man has been charged in the shooting death of 26-year-old Jawaun Jackson of Washington, D.C.

On Sept. 19 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 2900 block of 52nd Avenue for the report of a man in the road. Once there, they found Jackson with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the police department.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s homicide unit has arrested and charged 18-year-old Dartrell Bryant of Hyattsville first- and second-degree murder. Police determined that the men knew each other, the department said.
