2 Silver Spring Men Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Victim In Wooded Area
Two Silver Spring men have been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of another Silver Spring man in a wooded area, police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two men from Silver Spring have been charged in connection to a fatal shooting in their town, according to police.
On Sept. 14 at approximately 4 p.m., police officers were called to the 9200 block of New Hampshire Avenue for a report of a shooting. They found 35-year-old Carlos Alberto Ortiz of Silver Spring in a wooded area with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene, police reported.
The preliminary investigation revealed that 27-year-old William Jaminton Pavon-Mancock of Silver Spring shot the victim during a dispute. They knew each other, police said, and a second suspect, 24-year-old Jimmy Hernandez-Morales, was involved.

Hernandez-Morales and Pavon-Mancock are both charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related charges.
