8th Grader Dies After Being Struck By Car In Bowie: Report
A teen boy crossing the road in Bowie reportedly was struck and killed by a car.

BOWIE, MD -- A teen boy has died after being struck by a car in Bowie over the weekend, according to a report.
NBC 4's Darcy Spencer says that the teen, who had graduated from eighth grade at Georgetown Day School recently, was crossing at Church Road and Fairview Vista Drive when he was struck.
Officers responded to the scene at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

"Despite lifesaving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at a local hospital a short time later," Prince George's County Police tweeted. "The driver of the striking vehicle did remain on scene and is cooperating."

Despite lifesaving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at a local hospital a short time later. The driver of the striking vehicle did remain on scene and is cooperating.
