Prince George's County Animal Shelter Resumes Dog Adoptions After Briefly Battling Illness
The Prince George's Co. Animals Services Facility and Adoption Center has resumed dog adoptions and viewing after an illness was detected.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Starting today, Nov. 15, adoptions and viewings of dogs have resumed at the Prince George’s County Animals Services Facility and Adoption Center.
The facility stopped canine adoptions and viewings recently to combat an illness detected among dogs at the shelter. The ASFAC was able to restrict the illness to its intake room.
“We are excited to reopen dog adoptions to the public. However, we are still over capacity and need our communities help getting out the dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, turtles, goats and a variety of other animals depending on the day out of our facility and into your family,” said David Fisher, associate director of the department of animal services.
