PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The death of a beloved boxing coach killed in a shooting in southeast Washington, D.C. has left a void in the Prince George's community.
A boxing glove with a bouquet of flowers nestled inside has been left in front of the Old School Boxing gym that 62-year-old Arthur "Buddy" Harrison, Jr., owned. It was at that gym that he trained kids to box with the goal of keeping them off the streets and active in a positive way.
Harrison's son Buddy L Harrison posted on Facebook, "I laced his gloves at two years old... I am still lacing his gloves at 28 years old. I thank Jesus for the opportunity to do so..."
