BOWIE, MD— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Bowie, meet Curtis Mason.

What makes your dad extra special?

My dad is the best ever. Since my mom died, he has taken care of me. I have good and bad days but my dad makes it better. He works hard to take care of me. He comes to all my sporting events. I really love my Dad. We always celebrate Mother's Day at my mom's grave site. My dad gets sad but I help make him feel better. I know my mom misses us both. We will take care of each other. I really love my dad.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

Because I want him to really know how much I really appreciate him and I want the world to know how great of a dad he is.
