Bowie's LJ Hoes Traded By Orioles

The local star and former Baysox outfielder was dealt to the Houston Astros.

The Baltimore Orioles may have waited until the last-minute, but they did manage to put together some moves that included trading two local prospects before Wednesday afternoon’s trade deadline.

According to reports, the Orioles traded outfielder LJ Hoes of Bowie, pitcher Josh Hader of Old Mill and their 2014 compensatory pick for Astros pitcher Bud Norris.

Hoes, grew up in the Bowie area, attended St. John’s High School and played with the Bowie Baysox in 2011 and 2012.

Norris, 28, is 6-9 this season 3.93 ERA in 21 starts with the Astros, The Baltimore Sun reports.
