COLLEGE PARK, MD — A 13-year-old boy has been charged in connection to the groping of a student on the University of Maryland campus. The incident happened Sept. 6 around 11 a.m. in the 4600 block of College Avenue near its intersection with Princeton Avenue.A female student told police she was walking along the road when a boy walked up to her and started asking questions. During their interaction, he touched her inappropriately then ran down College Avenue and onto the hiker biker trail, according to UMD Police. The teen faces charges of fourth-degree sex offense (unlawful touching).
