Capitol Heights Woman Killed In Accokeek Single-Car Crash

ACCOKEEK, MD — A single-vehicle collision Oct. 7 in Accokeek has claimed the life of the passenger, 20-year-old Cadence Cox of Capitol Heights.

The collision happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Bryans Point Road. Cox was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, according to the police department.

A preliminary investigation shows the driver of the vehicle was traveling westbound on Bryans Point Road, when for reasons under investigation, lost control and struck a tree. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police department at 301-731-4422.
