College Park Man Arrested In Road Rage Incident Involving Gun: MSP
A 70-year-old College Park man has been arrested in connection to a road rage incident involving a gun, Maryland State Police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Maryland State Police have arrested and confiscated a loaded firearm in connection to an alleged armed road rage incident that unfolded in Prince George’s County.
On Feb. 19, the Maryland State Police College Park Barrack was notified of an alleged armed road rage incident on Route 1 in Prince George’s County. The victim told troopers that the driver reportedly brandished a firearm multiple times during the incident. No injuries were reported, police reported.
During an investigation, troopers from the Maryland State Police Highway Gun Crimes Initiative identified Charles Provost, 70, of College Park as the suspect and found his vehicle at his home in College Park. Authorized search warrants on the vehicle and his home resulted in the seizure of a loaded handgun, MSP stated.

Provost has been charged with first- and second-degree assault and related offenses and is awaiting an initial appearance before a district court commissioner.
