Detectives are searching for additional victims targeted in a string of ATV and dirt bike thefts spanning 2 Maryland counties.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Detectives are encouraging anyone who may have been a victim in a string of ATV and dirt bike thefts in Charles and Prince George's counties to contact them.

The Prince George's County Police Department believes that Demetrius Charles Dorsey, 23, is the suspect wanted for at least one dirt bike theft in the county. The Charles County Sheriff's Office stated that Dorsey, 23, of La Plata, was arrested and charged May 2 after being linked to ATV thefts in King George County, Charles County, La Plata, Alexandria City, Prince William County and St. Mary’s County.

According to police, Dorsey would find people selling ATVs on social media and meet them in person. He would ask to test drive the ATV but then never returned. He'd in turn sell the stolen ATVs online and through social media platforms.
