Donors hoping to speed up the process can use RapidPass, a system that helps users save time during their blood and platelet donations. The Red Cross recommends donors sign up for RapidPass after setting up their appointment.

The four-step process takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and involves reading through pre-donation materials and answering health history questions. More information about the RapidPass can be found here.
