Drawbridge Will Open Friday Night, Interrupting Traffic: State Highway Administration
Drivers should plan ahead for the drawbridge across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to open late Friday night, according to the SHA.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The State Highway Administration will perform a drawbridge opening to accommodate a boat passage overnight Friday on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Prince George’s County.
Starting at 11:30 p.m. Friday, the drawbridge will open for a planned boat passage on the Potomac River, which will require full traffic stops in both directions on the bridge. This stop will take approximately 20 minutes.
Drivers are advised to allow extra driving time overnight on Friday to accommodate the delays.
