Drivers Plan For Disruptions On Capital Beltway Due To Bridge Project Feb. 8-9

Work on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge this week will require the bridge to open periodically, stopping traffic both ways on the Capital Beltway.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Starting Thursday, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge spanning the Potomac River will need to open periodically, prompting full temporary stops in both directions of the Capital Beltway, for routine maintenance.

These stops are expected to last 15 to 20 minutes and will happen several times in the overnight.

The work should wrap up by Friday 5 a.m., weather permitting.
