Dumpster And Paper Shredding Day Saturday In Oxon Hill
A Dumpster and Paper Shredding Day will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Oxon Hill. See what items will and won't be accepted.
OXON HILL, MD — Residents are invited to recycle and dispose of unwanted household items and shred unneeded documents March 8.
The Dumpster and Paper Shredding Day, hosted by Councilmember Krystal Oriadha, will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hillcrest Heights Community Center, 2300 Oxon Run Dr., in Oxon Hill.
Residents can drop off their old sofas, dressers, tables, bookcases, entertainment centers, desks, fans, vacuums, chairs, doors, cabinets, smaller household items, mattresses, box springs (in protective encasements) and grills. The following items will not be accepted: refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, dryers, hot water heaters, tree stumps and trunks, yard waste, lawn mowers, auto parts, tires, construction materials, carpeting, hazardous waste, household trash, glass and mirrors, and other wood waste/debris.
