DWI Charges Filed Against Off-Duty Prince George's Police Officer Driving Patrol Car
An off-duty Prince George's police officer driving his marked police vehicle was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with DWI.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Prince George’s County police patrol officer has been charged with driving while impaired while operating his marked police cruiser.
PGPD Officer Simeon Daramola was off-duty at the time of his arrest but was driving his official police vehicle.
At approximately 2:15 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Laurel City Police Department found Daramola on Fourth Street in Laurel. Daramola was cited on DWI-related charges, the police department noted.

Daramola’s police powers have been suspended and the PGPD’s internal affairs division has opened an administrative investigation into the incident. Daramola joined the agency in 2023 and is currently assigned to the bureau of patrol.
