Upper Marlboro Native Zach Pascal Will Take The Field Sunday In The 2023 Super Bowl

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — When the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs face off Sunday for Super Bowl LVII in State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, fans in Maryland may see some familiar faces.
One player on the Philadelphia Eagles roster has ties to Maryland.
Zach Pascal, wide receiver, attended Dr. Henry Wise High School in Prince George's County where he racked up 21 catches for more than 500 yards and eight touchdowns his senior year. The Upper Marlboro native played college football at Old Dominion, appearing in 49 games where he snagged 233 receptions for 3,184 yards and 30 touchdowns. Pascal is the school's all-time leader in receptions.

Pascal signed with the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 NFL draft. He also spent time on the Titans practice squad and in 2018 was picked up by the Colts. In 2018, he scored his first NFL touchdown and ended up with 27 receptions for 268 yards and two touchdowns that year. In March of 2022, he signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Between them, the 2023 Super Bowl teams have 104 former college football players on their rosters. They played ball for 63 colleges, with the Oklahoma Sooners sending the most — six — to the Super Bowl.

Florida, Michigan and Mississippi State are all sending four players each; Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida State, Louisiana Tech, Nebraska and Washington State are sending three players each; and Auburn, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Old Dominion, Rutgers, SMU, Texas Tech, USC, and Wisconsin are each sending two players.
