Enterprise Golf Course In Prince George's Will Shut Down For Part Of The Summer

Enterprise Golf Course will be closed from Memorial Day through the end of July but the driving range and golf shop will remain open.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — From Memorial Day weekend through the end of July, the Enterprise Golf Course in Mitchellville will undergo an extensive upgrade that includes planting Bermuda grass to provide a more sustainable and environmentally friendly golf turf that requires less pesticide and fertilizer applications along with improved course conditions.

The sowing of the grass must be done during the hottest months of the year, the county parks and recreation department noted. Enterprise Golf Course and all short game practice facilities will be closed for renovation starting May 27. However, the driving range and golf shop will be open every day during renovation from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The tentative grand reopening for the course will be July 30.
