AQUASCO, MD -- Police say a man has apparently died due to a fallen tree in Aquasco Thursday morning.

Police responded to the 23000 block of Neck Road, where the found the body of an adult male, according to tweets from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Paramedics and officers responded at 6:50 a.m. and pronounced the man dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the man was cutting trees on an area of farm land and "appears to have been struck by another tree which had uprooted," police said.

"That tree hit and killed the victim," police added.
