Firefighters Locate Man Lost in Monday's Storms

The 63-year-old was found by firefighters and medics after a search of the woods on Tuesday afternoon.

A man was found woods behind Prince George's Stadium and Patuxent River Park Tuesday afternoon after being lost for more than 24-hours, according to Prince George's County Fire Department Spokesperson Mark Brady. 

Firefighters and medics located the 63-year-old man while conducting a search of the woods. The victim became lost in the woods during Monday's storms, according to reports

Officials previously reported the man had been trapped under a tree, though it was later discovered this was later found not to be the case

The man was conscious and breathing when emergency service workers found him in the woods. He was found to be suffering from exposure and dehydration, Brady said. 

The man was found in a deep wooded area. Emergency crews used a Motorola Apex portable radio to display the coordinates where he was located, which were in turn relayed to a medivac helicopter.
