SEAT PLEASANT, MD -- A man has died after fleeing a police officer who tried to stop him for speeding in Seat Pleasant, police say.
The police officer was conducting stationary radar on East Capitol Street in the area of Maryland Park Drive at around 8:05 a.m. on June 7 when he clocked a vehicle at 58 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. Police say the driver is 24-year-old Deshawn Williams of Southeast D.C.

Williams is seen traveling into the oncoming lane of traffic around the stopped vehicle. As he headed westbound on Old Central Avenue, he crossed the double yellow line into the oncoming single lane of traffic in order to pass at least 4 other vehicles."
