Free Meals For Kids Weekdays Through Aug. 12 In Prince George's County

Free meals are available to Prince George's County kids now through Aug. 12 at participating library branches while supplies last.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Kids up to 18 years old can pick up free summer meals weekdays at library branches across the county from June 27 to Aug. 12.

“The library is proud to continue its free summer meal program, which started in 2014 and helps address the significant food insecurity in the community,” Roberta Phillips, Prince George’s County Memorial Library System CEO, said. “Data available from the newly released Capital Area Food Bank Hunger Report shows that 48 percent of Prince George’s County residents have been affected by food insecurity. PGCMLS is committed to providing these essential resources to local children and complement services provided by Prince George’s County Public Schools.”

Meals will not be distributed on July 4 due to the holiday. Meals will be available weekdays while supplies last.
