PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The annual summer food service program hosted by the Prince George’s County Public Schools Department of Food and Nutrition Services will start Monday.
The program will offer free meals at 165 school sites for students enrolled in summer programs only. But starting July 7, all children age 18 and younger can receive meals at 16 open sites - eight schools and eight community locations - even if they aren't enrolled in summer programs, school leaders said.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No registration or ID is required, school officials stated. Meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Both breakfast and lunch will be served to all kids at school open sites July 7-31. Hot meals will be served. From July 7-Aug. 8, bagged lunches will be available to children at community open sites.
