ICYMI: What's Open, Closed in Bowie on MLK Day 2015?
An interfaith service Jan. 19 will discuss community policing in the city.

All Bowie city offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
According to the city’s website, there will be no trash or recycling collection. The next collection will be on your next regularly scheduled day. There are no makeup days.

Also, all Prince George’s County Public Schoolsand offices will be closed that day.
A holiday service planned for the day will take up the timely subject of community policing.

The Interfaith Council of Suburban Maryland will host an interfaith Martin Luther King Jr. holiday service at 11 a.m. Jan. 19 at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 14900 Annapolis Road in Bowie.
The keynote speaker will be Bowie Chief of Police John Nesky on the topic of “What Should True Community Policing Look Like?”
