Injured Hawk Found On MLK Jr. Highway Rescued By Prince George's Police Officers

Prince George's police officers found an injured hawk along MLK Jr. Highway and took it to a nonprofit wildlife rehabilitation center.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Tuesday morning, Prince George's patrol officers found an injured hawk on MLK Jr. Highway.

Officers called to find someone who could help the bird and then transported it to Frisky's in Howard County where it will undergo rehabilitation.

Frisky's Wildlife and Primate Sanctuary is a nonprofit wildlife rehabilitation center located in Woodstock. They take in injured, orphaned, abandoned and displaced wildlife. They are home to primates and other small exotics who have been kept as pets and can no longer live with their owners, according to their website.
