BOWIE, MD — The Bowie Youth Council invites local youth and their families to attend the first ever Youth Town Hall planned for April 21 at 7 p.m. at the Kenhill Center. The goal of the event is to introduce the Youth Council to the community, learn what local officials have to say about mental health, school safety and truancy, and then hear from Bowie youth about any concerns or ideas that they may have for the community.
The Bowie Youth Council was formed in July 2021 to provide an opportunity for local students to have a place in their community where they can voice their opinions and know that their voices matter to the community and their community leaders. The Youth Council consists of 11 city of Bowie students in middle sch00l and high school. They interface with city officials and they represent the four districts in Bowie.
Registration is encouraged for this event - RSVP form.
