Lane Closures Continue As Crews Work On U.S. 50 Pavement Improvement Project

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Construction continues on U.S. 50 (John Hanson Highway) between I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) and the Washington, D.C., line which began the week of June 26. Weather permitting, all work will be completed by late summer 2023.

In the meantime, drivers are reminded that there will be single- and double-lane closures in both directions of U.S. 50 between I-95 and MD 410 (East West Highway) from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays.

The pavement improvement project requires crews to mill, pave and restripe the lanes and shoulders of U.S. 50.
