Lane Closures Expected Along I-95/I-495 Through December For Road Project
Drivers should anticipate overnight lane closures in both directions along I-95/I-495 between MD 5 and Livingston Road starting this week.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will install raised pavement markings in both directions on I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 5 (Branch Avenue) and Livingston Road in Prince George’s County starting this week.
The work should be complete by December, weather permitting.
Crews will perform the work overnight, Sundays through Thursdays, from 8 p.m.-5 p.m. Drivers can expect a double-lane closure beginning at 8 p.m., followed by a triple-lane closure at 9 p.m. Closing three travel lanes during the work hours will safely establish a buffer between the crews in the work zone and the open travel lane.
