Man Arrested In Fatal Prince George's County Shooting: Police

Davon Freeman​, 37 was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Charles Wyche​, 51, of Fort Washington.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Police arrested a District Heights man in connection with a fatal shooting that killed a Fort Washington man this past October.

Davon Freeman, 37 was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Charles Wyche, 51. Police believe Freeman shot and killed Wyche during a robbery in the 6500 block of Kipling Parkway, District Heights.

Officers found Wyche dead on the scene from a gunshot wound in the area at about 10:50 a.m. Oct. 1. Wyche was found outside in an alleyway, police said.

Freeman is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
