Man Fatally Shot, Woman Injured In Landover

LANDOVER, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday night in Landover.

On Dec. 31 around 8:10 p.m., Prince George's police officers received a report of a shooting in the 7500 block of Landover Road. They found 27-year-old Michael Shipman, Jr. of Washington, D.C., inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman also was found with gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to the Prince George's Police Department.
