Man Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into Utility Pole In Ft. Washington

A Fort Washington man was killed after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a utility pole, according to Prince George's Police.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened in Fort Washington.

On April 1 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 11700 block of Old Fort Road for a single-vehicle crash. Ricardo Richard Brown, 57, of Fort Washington was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation revealed Brown was traveling northbound on Old Fort Road, when for reasons now under investigation, his vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 301-731-4422.
