College Park Boyfriend Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Virginia Girlfriend
The boyfriend of a Virginia woman has been arrested in connection to her fatal shooting. Police say he dropped her off at the hospital.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — The boyfriend of 24-year-old Brianna Burton of Centreville, Virginia, has been arrested in connection to her fatal shooting.
On April 27 around 7:20 a.m., Montgomery County Police officers were called to a Silver Spring hospital for a report of a gunshot victim, later identified as Burton, who had been dropped off at the emergency room. The man who dropped off Burton took off. Burton was pronounced dead a short time later, according to Prince George's Police.
During their investigation, detectives determined that Burton had been shot in Prince George's County. On April 29, members of the PGPD’s Fugitive Unit arrested Rogerio Palma, 32, of College Park, who was Burton's boyfriend. He has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges. He remains in the custody of the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
