Oxon Hill Man Fatally Stabbed Wife During Argument, Police Say

Police said the stabbing happened Saturday morning in the 100 Block of Kennebec Street in Prince George's County.

OXON HILL, MD — An Oxon Hill man has been charged with first-degree murder after police said he fatally stabbed his wife during an argument at their home.

Kenton Donaldson, 38, was arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with the death of 33-year-old LeNaiya Donaldson of Oxon Hill, Prince George's County police said in a news release.

According to authorities, officers received a call around 10:15 a.m. Saturday about a domestic dispute at the couple's home in the 1100 Block of Kennebec Street. Several minutes later, Prince George’s County Public Safety Communications received a second 911 call made by Kenton Donaldson.

During the call, police said Kenton Donaldson told the dispatcher he had just stabbed his wife during an argument in their apartment. He also said he fled the scene following the incident and was driving to a relative's home in Virginia, according to police.

When officers arrived at the home, they found LeNaiya Donaldson inside the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kenton Donaldson was located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and taken into custody by police. He is currently awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
