Police Seek Person Of Interest In Prince George's County Homicide

Police are searching for Jason Blake, 38, of District Heights, who is wanted for questioning regarding a recent murder in District Heights.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Homicide Unit detectives with the Prince George's County Police Department are searching for a man wanted in connection with a recent murder in District Heights.

Police said detectives would "like to talk to" Jason Rashad Blake, 38. His last known address is in the 6600 block of Kipling Parkway in District Heights, police said. Blake was an acquaintance of the murder victim, who is identified as Charles Wyche, 51, of Sero Estates Drive in Fort Washington.

Officers found Wyche dead on the scene from a gunshot wound in the 6500 block of Kipling Parkway at about 10:50 a.m. Oct. 1. Wyche was found outside in an alleyway, police said.

Detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case, police said.
