Prince George's Police Lieutenant Suspended After Incident In Washington, D.C.

A Prince George's County police lieutenant has been suspended after the MPD said he was arrested for being involved in a bar fight.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Prince George’s County police officer has been suspended after he was arrested Saturday while off-duty.

On April 12, the Metropolitan Police Department contacted the PGPD to inform the agency of the arrest, which happened at a business at approximately 5:10 p.m. Lt. Jeremy Ingraham has been charged with second-degree assault in connection to the physical altercation that happened in Washington, D.C.

According to the MPD, an employee tried to break up a fight inside the Sauf Haus Bier Hall & Garten in the Dupont Circle Neighborhood. The report states that this is when Ingraham became involved, hitting the employee in the face with a closed fist.

Ingraham joined the agency in 2012 and currently is assigned to the Bureau of Investigation.
