Rabid Bat Found In Bowie Park: Animal Control

BOWIE, MD — A rabid bat was found in the women's bathroom at Allen Pond Sunday evening, Bowie Animal Control officials announced.

An Animal Control Officer was dispatched to the park for a report of a bat confined in the women's bathroom at about 5 p.m. The bat was captured and has since tested positively for rabies, authorities said.
