Mid-Atlantic's Tallest Water Coaster Debuts This Weekend At Six Flags America

The Mid-Atlantic's tallest water coaster will debut this weekend at Six Flags. Passholders can preview the ride during special hours.

BOWIE, MD — In time for the 2024 season, Six Flags America will debut the Mid-Atlantic's tallest water coaster at Hurricane Harbor Maryland.

The theme park announced that the RipQurl Blaster water coaster will headline the opening of Hurricane Harbor Maryland. The RipQurl Blaster water coaster takes riders on a raft through uphill rip currents and 550 feet of twists and turns. Expect three drops, three reverse AquaLucent hairpin turns and a pitch-black wall-hugging helix finale before what the park calls a “final splashdown.”

“We are excited to debut RipQurl Blaster, which will be both a thrilling and refreshing experience for guests visiting this summer,” said Six Flags America General Manager Ramar Vaughan. “This is just one of many investments we’re making to be the DMV’s most convenient and enjoyable out-of-home experience for the whole family."
