Roadwork Along I-95, I-495 In Prince George's Will Shut Down Three Traffic Lanes

Roadwork planned for I-95 and I-495 in Prince George's and Montgomery counties will begin later this month and shut down three lanes.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Roadwork along I-95 and I-495 in Prince George's and Montgomery counties will start later this month and last until late spring.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin overnight milling and paving the week of April 23. Roadwork will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays, and will require lane shifts and triple-lane closures.

Closing three travel lanes during the work hours will provide a buffer between the paved area and the open travel lane, and establish a safe work zone for the public and the crews working overnight, MDOT noted.
