Security Guard Charged With Murder In Shooting At McDonald's: PGPD

A security guard working at a McDonald's in Hyattsville has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man inside the eatery Saturday.

HYATTSVILLE, MD — A security guard working at the McDonald's located in the 2300 block of University Boulevard has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal shooting that happened Saturday night.

On March 1 around 8:25 p.m., Prince George's police offers were called to the restaurant for a report of an altercation. They found 45-year-old Ricardo Clemons Jr. of no known address inside the business with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the security guard present at the eatery, 54-year-old Murwanashyaka Francois of Gaithersburg, fatally shot Clemons Jr. during the incident. He has been charged with second-degree murder and related charges. He's in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
