Stabbing Near Riverdale High School Is MS-13 Related: Prosecutor
Police have determined that Tuesday's stabbing that left one person injured near Parkdale High School was MS-13 related.

RIVERDALE, MD — Police have determined that Tuesday's stabbing that left one person injured near Parkdale High School was MS-13 related.
A 16-year-old male Parkdale High student was stabbed multiple times in a wooded area in the 600 block of Good Luck Rd. near the high school around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The school went on lockdown and "half a dozen people" were arrested, police said. The suspects were all males and have been brought into custody for questioning, police said.

"We believe suspects in this case are gang affiliated," Prince George's County Police said in a statement.
State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks told NBC Washington that police believe the suspects are associated with the brutal, transnational criminal organization MS-13.

"We will not tolerate violence in our schools," Alsobrooks told NBC Washington. "Any person who harms a child on school grounds, we will handle those people very aggressively."

Police said a witness saw a group "forming off school property." Arriving officers saw the victim staggering out of the woods and gave him emergency aid.
The victim was transported to a local hospital. His conditions are unknown at this time.
The stabbing occurred only one day after a non-fatal shooting outside of Oxon Hill High School. Two teens were charged with attempted murder for shooting the teenage victim, who is a student at the school, police said.
