Suspect At Large In Triple Shooting Outside Mount Rainier Liquor Store

The suspect wanted in a triple shooting that happened Monday night outside a Mount Rainier liquor store remains on the loose, police say.

MOUNT RAINIER, MD — Detectives continue to investigate a triple shooting that happened Monday night in the 3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue.

Witnesses reported that an unknown male suspect argued with a driver who was parked in front of a liquor store. After a heated exchange, the suspect then pulled out a handgun and shot multiple rounds into the vehicle, hitting three of the six people inside the vehicle. One man was pronounced dead on scene. The other two victims were taken to area hospitals with life-threatening injuries. The suspect wasn't apprehended and remains at large, according to police.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is working with the Mount Rainier Police Department to investigate the shooting.
