Teen Surrenders On Charges She Shot Someone During Argument
A 13-year-old girl has surrendered to police and faces assault charges after the PGPD said she shot at someone during an argument.
HYATTSVILLE, MD — A 13-year-old girl from Hyattsville turned herself in to police after officials say she argued with a person then shot at the individual.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened Wednesday around 3:57 p.m. in the 5600 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast. The suspect and the victim both "engaged in a heated argument," which escalated and led to the teen shooting a gun at the victim. No one was injured during the altercation.
The teen now faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (gun).
