Traffic Affected This Week Along I-95/I-495 At Woodrow Wilson Bridge

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Starting Thursday into Friday, traffic will be disrupted along I-95/I-495 at the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.

Starting at 11 p.m. Thursday, maintenance work on the bridge will require periodic opening of the drawbridge, which will cause traffic to stop in both directions for upwards of 20 minutes at a time. This particular project should wrap up by 5 a.m. Friday.

Then, starting at 11:59 p.m. Friday, the drawbridge will open for a planned boat passage on the Potomac River, which will require full traffic stops in both directions on the bridge. This stop will take approximately 20 minutes.

Drivers who need to cross the bridge Thursday night into early Friday morning and again late Friday night should plan for traffic delays, according to the State Highway Administration.
