Virginia Man Arrested In Armed Road Rage Incident In Prince George's County

A Virginia man has been arrested in an armed road rage incident that happened in February in Prince George's County.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Virginia man has been arrested following a Maryland State Police investigation into an armed road rage incident that happened in February in Prince George’s County.

On Feb. 2, troopers from the College Park Barrack responded to a report of a road rage involving a black Ford F-150. The driver reportedly pointed a firearm at another driver in the area of Interstate 95 and Route 1 in Prince George’s County. Investigators identified Joshua John Cook, 34, of Fairfax County, Virginia, as the suspect through dashcam footage, according to Maryland State Police.

Cook was arrested at his home by Virginia State Police Sept. 20. Detectives seized a handgun from his vehicle during the investigation. He has been charged with felony assault, firearms offenses and related charges. Cook was released by a Virginia judge while he awaits additional court hearings, according to Maryland State Police.
