Voltaggio Brothers Reveal Possible Opening Date For New Restaurant: Report

"Top Chef" stars Bryan Voltaggio and Michael Voltaggio revealed in June they planned to open a new restaurant in Frederick County.

OXON HILL, MD — Bryan Voltaggio and Michael Voltaggio, "Top Chef" stars and the owners of Voltaggio Brothers Steak House at MGM National Harbor, recently revealed a possible opening date for their new restaurant in Frederick County.

In June, The Washington Post reported that the brothers planned on opening a restaurant called Wye Oak Tavern in downtown Frederick. In an interview with WTOP, the pair said they are planning to open the restaurant this fall.

The new eatery will be located in the 170-year-old Visitation Academy, a former convent and boarding school that is slated to become housing and a boutique hotel, WTOP reported.

While the brothers did not provide additional details about the menu or plans for the restaurant, Bryan told WTOP they are excited to eventually open the doors to the public.

“It’s a bigger venue. It’s a bigger opportunity," he said.
