74-Year-Old Bladensburg Woman Fatally Hit By Passing Vehicle In Hyattsville

HYATTSVILLE, MD — A 74-year-old Bladensburg woman was killed early Wednesday morning when she was hit by a vehicle.

On April 2 around 6 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Landover Road and 55th Avenue for a report of a crash involving a person. Officers found Norma Mae Doswell in the road with trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates the involved driver hit Doswell in the northbound lane of Landover Road. The driver remained on scene and was uninjured.
