Beltsville Man Killed In Early Morning Crash On I-95 Ramp
Maryland State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a Beltsville man early Monday morning.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland State Police are investigating an early morning crash that killed a Beltsville man in Prince George's County, according to a police release.
Troopers from the College Park Barrack were dispatched Monday, Feb. 24, around 2:45 a.m., to the report of a single-vehicle crash on the Interstate 95 South ramp to eastbound Route 212. A preliminary investigation revealed a 2010 Honda Civic heading south on the ramp left the road, struck a tree, and overturned before coming to a rest.
Police identified the driver as Marvin Leonel Joya, 25, of Beltsville, Maryland, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a preliminary investigation, alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. No other vehicles were involved. MSP are continuing to investigate this incident.
