College Park Woman Killed In Howard County Crash: Police
Police said a College Park woman was involved in a deadly crash early Sunday morning in Howard County.

COLUMBIA, MD — A College Park woman died early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Howard County, according to police. Officials said the woman hit a pole while driving on MD 175.
Elysse Camacho, 24, of College Park, was headed east on Route 175 when her car left the road and hit a traffic light pole as she approached Tamar Drive in Columbia, according to officials.
Camacho was the only person inside the 2011 Honda Element at the time of the crash, which occurred around 1:59 a.m., police said.

She was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where police said she was pronounced deceased.
Officials said it was unclear why Camacho's vehicle went off the road. The Howard County Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.

The crash marked the third fatality involving a vehicle that traveled off the road in Howard County in as many days, after two people were found dead inside a car submerged in the Little Patuxent River on Friday. Police said that crash happened Friday morning and appeared to have occurred when the vehicle went off the MD 108 overpass near Columbia Road. It also remains under investigation.
