COLLEGE PARK, MD — Two people were taken into custody following a robbery near the 8800 block of 36th Place in College Park Thursday, police said. Prince George's County Police said there was a residential robbery at that address. Prince George's County Police along with the University of Maryland Police searched the area near the Chesapeake Building for the suspects, prompting a shelter in place order for those in the area. Police said two male victims suffered minor injuries and the robbery does not appear to be random. The shelter in place order has since been lifted. Patch will update this report.
